Dear Editor,
[Insert haiku here]
Please consider my haiku (above) for publication in your blah blah magazine. I am the former editor of fifteen zines, including blah blah Is Dead and Battered Penny blah blah Review, two of which were nominated by me for the blah blah Prize of The Century and the Super Big Sweepstakes of Poetry Garden Tool Design sponsored by the International blah blah blah. My astounding literary works have been published in Rolling Thunder of Ink Fish, Two Girls With Nothing To Do All Day, Suckface Quarterly, dOn'T tElL mE i Kant RiGhT, The International Journal of Rejection Letters, blah blah Foundation for Contemporary Astounding Literary Geniuses Review, buttered toast, The New Yorker, and numerous refrigerators throughout the Pacific Northwest. My anthology 'guttermouth in my tepid coffee' was published by Two Girls With Nothing To Do All Day Press and was nominated for an auction prize by the Daughters of the American Revolution Bazaar Chairman (reference letter enclosed) and for the blah blah Reward For Good Behavior. I have attended three poetry slams and sat next to and/or tapped the shoulder of Alan Ginsberg, Salman Rushdie (or someone who said they were Salman Rushdie), Matsuo Basho, Daniel Day-Lewis and Lyn Lifshin. My next anthology, 'my tepid cup runneth over' will be published by One Hour Martinizing Press Dry Cleaning, Inc., after they get their computer working. Thank you for considering my haiku.
Sincerely,
T.L. Kelly
