Rain and Chocolate
by Savannah Skye

HE RAIN FALLS
Falls upon my skin
- moist, wet -
I do become

My mouth opens
I drink the rain
To quench my momentary thirst

Now it's time to feed my momentary hunger
Aah, Dean & Deluca
The home of many delicious chocolate bars
I walk in, my sandal bottoms wet
- squish, squish, squish -

Alas, the much coveted chocolate bars
Which one - white chocolate
milk chocolate
dark chocolate
Swiss chocolate
bittersweet dark chocolate

Oh my, bittersweet dark chocolate, hadn't had that one in a while
It shall be my choice - it's smooth
bittersweet
dark
chocolate
Taste calls me to it
To devour it
In chocolate time
Slow and sweet

For this bittersweet dark chocolate fantasy
Will momentarily take me away from my present reality

Hmm, rain and chocolate
-two of my favorite things-
Hmm, rain and chocolate
-one wet, one sweet-
