Battle
by Tanjanala

She was taught to stand up for her rights
Sadly she cried with each battle
Her world was one big fight
She trained hard to defend herself
to end this existence

One dark sullen winter day, the time came
when all her skills would be tested
Her mind could no longer be cheated
All emotions were now inflame
But she knew she had to be focused
Her reason could not be clouded

All her knowledge and abilities were to be used
She heard the words...Fight or be killed
The time has come when she no longer would be abused
Her soul cried sorrowfully
But her mind quickly
became enthused
Nothing would be excused

Eyes gazing and glaring at her
He became helpless and powerless
Begging her, release me...have mercy
She knew all his tactics
Harshly and boldly
She fought hard never letting him
get the best of her

Snow once pure and white
It was stained with dark red blood
His voice diminishing through the lurid air
He was no longer boldacious and procacious
As he struggled and pleaded for his life

With one big sweep
She gave him his final blow
His flesh and bone just lied there in a heap
He no longer could harm her
She terminated his existence

No tears...she did not weep
Now she could face the world again
She can wander about undisturbed
Her freedom was now secured
